I was out shopping and noticed that there are certain things that I will NOT buy off brand
Like peanut butter has to be Jif, no fake Cheez-Whiz, butter no margarine, Diet Pepsi no knock-offs, Kraft Dinner no imitations, Tampax brand tampons etc...

What brands are you loyal too and which could you care less about?

I'm not really picky about brands either. I do buy only Tampax tampons and only Kraft dinner, but that's about all I can think of.

I won't use value brands for tampons, they have to be either tampax or playtex. Oh and toilet paper HAS to be a good brand, like charmin. Other than that I couldn't care less about the brand.

Laundry soap, I'd rather pay extra for what works better.
Toilet paper, first is Cashmere, second- Charmin
Diapers- Pampers ONLY
bread, I don't like cheap bread.
Hot dogs, will only eat Red Hots...

I'm pretty picky lol

I am soooo picky about brands!

Bounty paper towels a MUST - I once decided to try Kirkland (the Costco brand, because normally Kirkland is really good!) BIG MISTAKE.

Food I'm not terribly picky on the brand because we buy mostly organic and whole, so not really a lot of branding that goes on in terms of fruits and veggies LOL

We don't drink soda anymore but when we did, definitely no Great Value etc.

Another big one is O.J. - it has to be Tropicana or Minute Made NOT from concentrate

mmmm... toilet paper HAS to be the Kirkland brand, since I like them individually sealed, big and soft! LOL

I do try and buy on sale and freeze (works great when Tropicana is on sale!) so that we don't get hammered weekly, and then if I can't find it on sale sometimes (depending on the item) we just do without until it DOES go on sale.

This is true! No name chips are actually Old Dutch from Safeway (maybe others too not sure).

For me though it isn't usually a name brand vs no name it is a specific brand that I love over ANY other. Like the Peanut Butter being Jif, can't be Kraft either kwim?
