One thing that is easier to find in say the US, that is difficult/impossible to find in Canada (excluding online stores that ship to Canada )?

Spray cheese! I kid you not! (we grocery shop in the USA) their stores are full of so many varieties of spray cheese!

Also your traditional Vanilla Coke, most junky cereals.

sodium hydroxide (soap making). Hard to find locally and very expensive to ship (it's considered dangerous goods). Americans seem to have an easier time finding it.

washing soda is another

I've been looking for Torino pumpkin spice syrup for coffee and I know someone in the States who buys it but I've never found it here. Lots of other coffee flavourings I can't get here either. There's probably a ton of things but I can't remember them right now!

I haven't been to the US since I was 15, not counting flight stopovers. I do buy seeds from a US company though. They have varieties I can't always get here and it is less expensive.

Maggie, have you heard of Solana Seeds out of Quebec? They have a decent variety of tomatos and peppers as well as some unusual things. Their shipping is very reasonable.

Fair pricing in general, is another. It's ridiculous that we have pay so much more for exact same products simply because we're on the wrong side of the border.

I agree. Even things like books have a Canadian price and a US price. The dollar is pretty much at par - it should be the same!

Actually you can go to the US and buy lumber with a maple leaf and a B.C. lumber mill stamp for cheaper than you can buy it in canada.... Also we sell our oil to the US and they have cheaper gas prices than us... explain that one to me!

Ohh! Gas!!!! They think they're being sneaky because of litres vs gallons, but once you do the conversion (simple google search) we are getting so gyped!

travel. You can get an all inclusive vacation to another country for the same price it costs just to fly here.

Its like $800 for my sister to fly from BC to Ontario and back. Craziness!

I've heard that Gymboree kids clothes are significantly less in the US...that's a store I can't afford to shop in in Canada!

18" dolls. I only found this out yesterday. Here you can order them through MapleLea, or TRU just came out with some. There you can get them in every store, Walmart, Target, Meijer, TRU, everywhere has them and for a really reasonable price.
