Who's weather will be affected by this super storm? Apparently 70% of Canada's population will be affected as it will be through some of the heaviest populated parts of Canada.

I doubt we will be in the Prairies.... however Sandy is my MIL's name, so I get a real kick out of the headlines I am seeing.

That said I don't take how serious this is lightly... I hope everyone stays dry and grounded!

The Weather Network made it sound like we were going to have days of torrential downpour but it's all to the south of us. It's reversed our regular patterns but according to the radar, it looks as though we're just going to see the odd outlaying wave. So far we've had a bit of wind and it rained some last night; appears more heading is our way tonight

We were also supposed to be affected really badly, but it seems to have shifted away from us. That being said, it is raining here right now, and the wind is picking up. Who knows. It seems like a very scary storm.

Our wind is crazy and parts of the city have no power already. The worst for my area is supposed to start around 2am. We'll see what happens.

They were saying on CTV news earlier that it was so weird that so far the severity is as bad as forecasted, and that it stayed on the predicted course as well.

The worst is supposed to hit here around 1:00 am so we'll see if our power stays on. I hope so; our house is cold to begin with.

We have a gas fireplace and I've had that on all night to get some quick heat into the house - our front door is leaking warm air and DH hasn't had a chance to fix it yet. I'm heading to bed around 11....hoping I'll sleep through the worst of it!
