How are things going? Have you found out gender yet? Glad to be out of the 1st trimester? What did you do to announce your pregnancy if you have? So excited for you!

Hey!
Funny you should ask today! LONG day. I actually had some complications this week. On tue. I had a little spotting, but it stopped, no cramping, so no worries. This morning I woke up to what I would only describe as an all out hemorrhage. Went in for an emergency ultrasound (my first!) and saw that baby was perfectly happy and healthy!!! The best guess is that I have a Subchorionic Hemorrhage. I go in to Winnipeg for a specialist appointment sometime hopefully next week! I'm on strict orders to take it easy, but other wise I am feeling much better than in the past!

On FB we announced with a picture of 2 adult and 1 baby pair of cowboy boots that said 'Our family will be growing by 2 feet"

Over all I'm just so relieved things are ok with the Baby, and being able to see the ultrasound was so special. I'm really optimistic that things will go well from here on out!

Oh wow, that's pretty scary! Glad to hear all is ok now though! Renee (screen name Ever) dealt with a 2nd trimester SCH...and she has a beautiful little boy now with no additional issues.

Yay for ultrasounds! They were one of my favourite parts (other than feeling movement). That's crazy that you haven't had one yet, in Ontario the standard is one at 12 weeks, and one at 20ish weeks. Were they able to provide a guess on gender or are you still waiting?

Love the way you announced! So creative!

I turned down the 12 week one, I really wasn't interested in more than what I absolutely needed. If I didn't want to know gender so badly I would probably have opted out of the 20 week one too! .... hehe look at me go, now I'll likely have 3 within a month!

No guesses on gender at all. I didn't even ask. I really hope we find out at 20 weeks! I might bring it up at the next one before that though!

Scary! I'm glad baby is ok. Do you need to take time off work to rest?

I'm actually not currently working. We moved in April to an economically depressed area, and there aren't even min. wage part time jobs or anything available. I've been on EI since then. When the baby is born obviously I won't be taking a mat leave, so DH is taking a few months of parental leave to stay home and help out/get stuff done around our yard as we were hit hard with a storm in Oct. that damaged a lot of our trees.
