I can't really remember that far back. I know we did the advent calendars and we would take turns to open it each day. And I think we just got really excited.
Lately, I have been really aware of old people and loneliness. As Theo gets a little older I would like to make a tradition of going to visit the residents at a local old folks home. My friend does it with her kids and told me it makes the residents SOOO happy because not all of them have grandchildren or ones that come and visit. I think it would be good for Theo to know how easy it is too make people happy with time spent.
We will do an advent too. I suppose I will let him help wrap gifts as well.
We did advent calendars, the advent wreath every night, make presents for the parents and grandparents. I was the oldest of 5 at that point so I got to be in charge for stuff. We also used to have lots of snow by now and we'd play outside a lot too.
