There were 3 typical spots for our family. 1. the overpass across the field from my parents house... We were banned from sledding there when I was a little older because one of the new kids in our area (with a total of 12 houses nearby) threw a snowball at a semi.
2.'The Dump' it was the old dump in our town... it was basically just a giant hill that became THE place to go locally.
3. Sprucewoods provincial park. It was about an hour from my town, but we'd often go there for the day, they had tobogganing on massive hills!, skating, and warming huts where you could roast hotdogs and make hot chocolate! it was pretty awesome!
Haha, the big hill in our city where everyone goes is called "Mount Trashmore". its the old dump! Like 50+ years ago old haha, its now got 4 wheeler trails, a skate park, and a dog park in addition to the giant hill!
If anyone lives in the Mountains... I went to Big White ski resort with the families I nanny 2 years ago (near Kelowna) and we went snow tubing! it was phenomenal! I went snow tubing at a place in MB and it SUCKED in comparison!
When I was little, we lived on a small airport, so we had a couple of huge hills on the edge of the runway that we would sled on (when there were no planes around). Our school always had good hills too.
