It's going to be an eventful week, weather-wise, but I will gladly take it after last week's cold spell. Snow, rain, freezing rain. It is even going up to the + side for a day or two. I can't wait!

We must be somewhere reasonably close in Ontario Jennifer, because we have the same forcast.

+1 and freezing rain, changing to +10 and rain, going back to -6 and snow. Should make for some nice headaches.

Lol, I'm right there with you ladies. The buses were cancelled this morning because of freezing rain. But yeah, up to 7 and rain on Wednesday I think And next Monday they're calling for 5-10cm again Mother Nature can't make up her mind!

We had a thunderstorm this afternoon, thunder, lightning and pouring rain. It was quite interesting considering this is January. The ground is still frozen so the rain has no place to go. Our roads and yards are flooded. It's supposed to rain more tomorrow, then freeze Wednesday night into Thursday. I have a bad feeling our whole city will be a skating rink Thursday morning.

I just heard they're calling for more thunderstorms tonight, and its POURING outside.

This just does not feel like January to me...more like March.

Hydro is out in the West end of our city, just East of the city it was so windy that my parents lost an 80+ foot pine tree in the storm, just thanking God it didn't go through the impliment shed and instead landed parallel to it. It's so foggy that we had to cancel our Brownie meeting tonight because the police issued a warning that its not safe to be on the roads, and some roads are so flooded that they had to close them.

It's been a weird day weather wise.

That's a good thing that the tree fell where it did.

It's supposed to be 11 tomorrow. Insane.

Our city follow the Thames River, they evacuated a bunch of people who had houses near it last night as I was going to bed. Red Cross moved in to provide a safe place for the to sleep. I've never seen that in our city, the river rises but not usually that much!

That's crazy!

We've been in this house for a year and a half, and for the first time, our sump pump turned on last night

mccaroline - whoa! Hope things start looking up soon!

Nothing noteworthy out west, besides the bitter cold. Currently -25C, -36 with the windchill.

I'm so not looking forward to tomorrow. It's +12 and raining today, tomorrow is supposed to be -13. Anyone other than me think that we're going to have more accidents in our city normal tomorrow? I can just see our roads being like ice rinks.

It was freezing here early this week, now it's +3 but pouring rain. Freezing rain was forecasted, but hasn't hit us yet.

I was supposed to have mommy & me water yoga tomorrow morning but we got a call that the instructor is ill. So I'm not leaving the house! They *said* there won't be a flash freeze but I don't understand how there can't given the swing in temps. DH took the dog for an extra long walk tonight and apparently everyone was out walking their pets before the freeze.

Helios - that's soooo cold! Its so crazy how different the weather is out west (excluding the coast in BC).

Awe, sorry you're going to miss out on yoga tomorrow.

I should take our dog out before it freezes, but DH won't be home until 1am and all the kids are asleep so I can't leave them. Poor pup is just going to have to be satisfied running around our back yard tonight.

TBH I'm kind of glad I don't have to leave haha. Give me 5 feet of snow, I'm down. Its the ice that scares me!

We've been slacking in walking the dog, she needed it SOOOOO bad.

I feel the same way about ice!

I'm not sure how slippery it is out there yet, but the wind! Even my dog was scared of everything blowing around and didn't want to go out this morning.

I heard the wind last night - oh my! Its not much better right now at 48km/h! Our neighbours have a light at the side of their house that turns on based on motion and there is a tree near it, and the stupid light kept turning on last night because of the tree moving in the wind. The light shines right into our ensuite bathroom and lights up our bedroom unless I remember to shut the ensuite door. So frustrating! I really need to get curtains in there but its such a small window and no one can see in I always forget until we have nights like that.

Snow squalls and feels like -16 today, and we already have 2cm on the ground. Its so nuts!
