Mine is a lot like Jennifer's, dark and full of spider webs. Add a couple pans of kitty litter and take out the workshop and that is my little dark laundry room/storage room. I made DH so a lot of the laundry, I don't like it down there.
I like, and it sure as hell beats my washer and crap dryer in the darkest corner of our unfinished basement...... BUT who honestly would want a sink between the washer and dryer???!?!?!!! I like to pull out of the wash and toss immediately into the dryer.. with this you'd have to load a basket and carry it over. not a fan. I like rooms that encourage efficiency with chores
It doesn't look to be that large of a gap between the two, as long as the doors both opened to the inside you could take from one and toss into the other. If the doors both open the same direction there would be a door in the way and that wouldn't work so well.
The workspace with the counter on top would be really nice to have.
Mine is in an unfinished room in the basement that houses the furnace and water softener and water heater. I love the light airiness of this one. And the counter space for folding. I currently vacuum before doing laundry so everything doesn't get dog hair all over it since I do it in the living room where the dog hangs out.
