Maggie is our first COTW We will follow the below schedule, but Maggie doesn't have to answer it on every day, it depends how much time she has

This is REALLY fun if you all ask questions. So please ask questions for Maggie in this thread, that she will hopefully have time to get to by Friday.

Want to sign up or see the schedule? Have questions on how it works? Check it out here:
http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f1...nuck-week.html (Canuck of the Week)

MONDAY: Introduce yourself...pretty self explanatory but you can tell us as much as your comfortable about yourself, your loved ones, your job, etc.

TUESDAY: List 15 random facts about yourself. This is always a fun thing to do, and lets us get to learn more about your life that might not come up in a normal conversation

WEDNESDAY: Picture Day...if you have access to a camera, or already have pics on your computer, now is the time to show us your beautiful self, family, house, car, pets, etc. If you don't have personal pics, you can post pics you can find via Google and tell us about them and how they relate to you (example: my dream car, dream house, fantasy vacation, etc)

THURSDAY: Bucket List....make a list of 10-20 things you would like to do before you "kick the bucket"

FRIDAY: Question Friday....this is the day you'll get the chance to respond to all the questions that the ladies give you. If any questions come up that you don't feel comfortable answering, either state that, or PM the person asking to let them know you won't be answering, rather than ignoring it.

And......GO!

I'm going to post Monday's today since I don't usually get on here until the evening.

Let's see. I was born in London, ON and then moved to Maple Creek, SK for one year, Thompson, MB for two years, Kitimat, BC for four years, Calgary, AB for three years and then when I was 10 we moved to Parry Sound and my mother and my youngest brother still live there.

I have three younger brothers.
Adam is some kind of engineer (computer something or other) and works at TELUS H/O - his wife is a lawyer and they have a baby who is one month older than Theo.
Sam does advertising things for Xbox Live and lives with his girlfriend in Toronto - they rent the house where my Dad lived most of the time before he passed away this past Thanksgiving.
My brother Max suffers from severe OCD - he is in the process of getting disability but he is enrolled in a cook's course at the college in Parry Sound. I am glad that he keeps trying. I hope that he can get some sort of work so that he can feel good about himself. He has a really nice girlfriend who is also in college.

My Mum is a principal and is about 2 years away from retirement. She was born in Britain and moved to Canada when she was 22 to marry my Dad. They met while they were both doing a year of university in France.

When I was in high school I did 2 exchanges. One to Spain and one to France.

I got my BA from Western in French.

I used to party and drink a lot but now I have quieted down.

I really enjoy gardening and for the past 2 years have sold at the farmer's market. I wasn't able to go every week but I enjoy it. It is a TON of work.

I wasn't planning on having any children and Theo was a 'surprise'. He is lovely and I am glad that we have him.

I knew I would marry my husband Richard very soon after meeting him. He is very patient and kind. He is very fit and has an amazing butt! I feel just a but separated from him lately with his late work hours and the baby but I am sure we will become closer again.

If you could pass one life lesson down to Theo, what would it be?
What is your favourite thing about gardening?
What do you and your husband like to do when you get time for yourselves (ideal date)?

My brothers and their ladies with Rich and I at our wedding last May.

Most recent picture I have of all of my high-school friends together in May, 2011. Susie lives in NS so we aren't all together all that often and some of us have grown apart.

Recent picture of my Mum and Theo and Rich.

My Dad passed away Thanksgiving 2012 - here is a fun pic of him from Thanksgiving 2011. We were all hanging from the girders on the fire tower in my hometown.

My back yard.

Front of the house last month.

Your house is adorable!

If you could live anywhere in the country, where would it be?

Bucket list -

Go on a hot air balloon ride.
Spend the longest day of the year somewhere in the Arctic.
See the totem poles on Haida Gwaii.
Create a really awesome garden.
Go to Romania.
See a slave plantation.
Ride on a street car in San Francisco.
Stay and dine in a very luxurious place in Europe where the very rich hang out.

That's all that I can think of right now.

It was a very small wedding just our immediate families and one friend each. It was very nice we held it in an outdoor covered area at a local park. We had a knot tying ceremony and a rose exchange. It was early spring so there were blossoms on the trees.

We had dinner at a local restaurant and then a reception an Richard's Mum's house. It was perfect. We had enough money to pay for it out of pocket and everyone had a great time.

I sell vegetables, cut flowers and live plants.

My dream vacation is to go to Transylvania in Romania and see the medieval towns. In particular, Sighisoara (sp?), I also want to see Peles Castle and visit the Maramures.

I speak Spanish enough to get by while on vacation (short chats), I speak French fairly well but in business situations. Hanging out with French people and chatting I am not as good at.

Yes, I want Theo to do exchanges. I would like him to go to camp in Quebec and then also learn another language like Mandarin, Urdu (or another Indian language), or Spanish. Something that will be useful in a business context.

I am not sure if its a lesson but I really want him to be a kind person.
I like digging in the dirt!
Lately we have been going to the slots on 'date night'. We used to go to the gym together, I miss that.

I already did Romania.

For San Francisco, there are so many pulls. The street cars, the Golden Gate Bridge, the redwood forest, Haight Ashbury, the goth scene, that really steep hill, the arcade museum, Chinatown, the wharf. All sorts of things.

I was all into goth stuff and piercings and I saw someone had done it so I thought it would be cool since no one I knew had that. It hurt, yep. I had to take it out a week later because my Dad refused to take me to the airport to go to France if I kept it in.

Perfect weekend would be seeing all of my friends and family on Saturday. The weather would be still and about 18 degrees - we would be outdoors somewhere. Then on Sunday it would just be Theo, Rich and I and we would just be together.

I am getting a short certificate in Health Records Management through Ontario Learn so that I can work in a hospital or doctor's office.

They used to say Richard but now they don't say either. I guess he looks like himself!

I would like to try living on Vancouver Island. Nanaimo looks like a really great city. When I was researching where I wanted to move to Nanaimo was right up there with Peterborough.

I also am attracted to the Okanagan Valley.

I think I answered them all. This was fun!

My parents were right out of teacher's college and my Dad got a job in a school in Maple Creek. Apparently we lived in a two room house on a ranch. There are some pictures from that time but of course I don't remember. We only lived there for a year though.

Oh, and Adam was here visiting today and he is an INDUSTRIAL engineer.
