Christy is our next COTW We will follow the below schedule, but Christy doesn't have to answer it on every day, it depends how much time she has

This is REALLY fun if you all ask questions. So please ask questions for Christy in this thread, that she will hopefully have time to get to by Friday.

Want to sign up or see the schedule? Have questions on how it works? Check it out here:
http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f1...nuck-week.html (Canuck of the Week)

MONDAY: Introduce yourself...pretty self explanatory but you can tell us as much as your comfortable about yourself, your loved ones, your job, etc.

TUESDAY: List 15 random facts about yourself. This is always a fun thing to do, and lets us get to learn more about your life that might not come up in a normal conversation

WEDNESDAY: Picture Day...if you have access to a camera, or already have pics on your computer, now is the time to show us your beautiful self, family, house, car, pets, etc. If you don't have personal pics, you can post pics you can find via Google and tell us about them and how they relate to you (example: my dream car, dream house, fantasy vacation, etc)

THURSDAY: Bucket List....make a list of 10-20 things you would like to do before you "kick the bucket"

FRIDAY: Question Friday....this is the day you'll get the chance to respond to all the questions that the ladies give you. If any questions come up that you don't feel comfortable answering, either state that, or PM the person asking to let them know you won't be answering, rather than ignoring it.

And......GO!

I grew up in several small towns in rural Alberta. After highschool, I moved to Ontario and did a bachelor of science degree, followed by another bachelor of science in a different area (yes, I have two of them). Afterwards I worked for a couple of years, and I now live in Alberta again, where I am currently working on a graduate degree in the sciences. Can you tell I love science? I do.

I spend my days in the lab and my evenings at home with my family. My partner and I have been together for almost ten years, and living together for 9. A couple of years ago we went ring shopping and he bought me an engagement ring, so I guess technically we are engaged. I'm not really big into weddings though - I always think other peoples weddings are fun, but I'm not really keen on doing all the planning, dress shopping, and everything else that comes along with having our own wedding. We will get married eventually, but will probably just elope. We decided to have kids first.

Together my partner and I have one child, a son who is 13 months old. He is hilarious, cute, and amazing. I found the first 6 months or so of motherhood really tough though. I think I am more of a "kid person" than a "baby person". The older he gets, the more I enjoy motherhood. Despite that fact, I am really looking forward to having another baby sometime next year. I would really like to have two, maybe even three kids. I grew up with two brothers and a sister, so I like the idea of having a big family.

In addition to my son, we have a big, fluffy kitty. I grew up with a lot of pets, and I love animals. When I was little I wanted to be a veterinarian, but as I got older the idea of doing surgery turned me away from it. I'm not an especially squeamish person, but the idea of cutting open a living being is definitely too much for me. For the last 8 years we have actually been a two cat household, but one of my cats tragically fell ill recently and after a horrible Friday night of expensive diagnostics at the critical care clinic, we learned that he was dying, and would continue to suffer no matter what we did. On Saturday, we said goodbye to him. It was horrible. He was such a nice cat. I miss him. My other cat wandered around yesterday meowing loudly, calling out for him. I feel bad for her, too. We probably will get another cat eventually, but not for a while.

And that's it! Looking forward to your questions!

If you had to live in a province or territory other than Alberta or Ontario, which would you pick and why?
What kind of science are your degrees in?
What is your favourite room in your home and why?

(More to come...I space out my questions to keep the thread bumped )

My kitty's name is Casey.

I chose Ontario for school because it seemed really far away, haha. I went to high school in a small town and never felt like I fit it, so by the time I graduated I just wanted to get the heck out of there!

I have traveled a bit around Canada. I've been through BC, all over Alberta, Quebec, Ontario and Nova Scotia, but I would like to do some more traveling. My favorite place is the Okanagan in BC.

I would live in BC! So many beautiful areas there. Love the Okanagan.

I have a degree in Anthropological Science and another in Chemistry.

My favorite room is probably my living room. We painted it a nice blue and I find it really relaxing.

Favorite thing about science? Everything!

I think a 2.5-3 yr spacing would be nice. My two older brothers are 18 months apart and my mom told me it was really hard and to wait a bit longer between kids, so I am taking her advice!

University of Toronto, University of Calgary, University of Alberta.

Squirrels, although they can be jerks sometimes. When I was a kid we lived on an acreage for a while, and when we would walk down our long driveway to catch the bus in the mornings the squirrels would drop pine cones on us.

I make mexican food at home frequently! I picked up a Rick Bayless cookbook a year or so ago (Mexican Everyday) and I've made a number of dishes from it. Definitely recommend his cookbook if you like Mexican food.

I guess Amazon, Well.ca, and gap/oldnavy for my son. I like Etsy too but have never actually bought anything off etsy because it is usually so pricey.

I'm a big Elder Scrolls fan so my current favorite game is Skyrim. I also liked Dragon Age (the first one, I didn't enjoy the second as much), and the Mass Effect series.

This is a tough one! Probably tack and field. I was in track in high school, so I have the most experience with it.
