Chrystal is our next COTW We will follow the below schedule, but she doesn't have to answer it on every day, it depends how much time she has

This is REALLY fun if you all ask questions. So please ask questions for Chrystal in this thread, that she will hopefully have time to get to by Friday.

Want to sign up or see the schedule? Have questions on how it works? Check it out here:
http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f1...nuck-week.html (Canuck of the Week)

MONDAY: Introduce yourself...pretty self explanatory but you can tell us as much as your comfortable about yourself, your loved ones, your job, etc.

TUESDAY: List 15 random facts about yourself. This is always a fun thing to do, and lets us get to learn more about your life that might not come up in a normal conversation

WEDNESDAY: Picture Day...if you have access to a camera, or already have pics on your computer, now is the time to show us your beautiful self, family, house, car, pets, etc. If you don't have personal pics, you can post pics you can find via Google and tell us about them and how they relate to you (example: my dream car, dream house, fantasy vacation, etc)

THURSDAY: Bucket List....make a list of 10-20 things you would like to do before you "kick the bucket"

FRIDAY: Question Friday....this is the day you'll get the chance to respond to all the questions that the ladies give you. If any questions come up that you don't feel comfortable answering, either state that, or PM the person asking to let them know you won't be answering, rather than ignoring it.

And......GO!

Well lets get this started. I met Dh when we were 18, he moved into the area as a farm hand. My father liked him and thought he had nice eye lashes So my father was trying to set us up(I say I was part of an arranged marriage). At the age of 20 we bought the farm together, the next year we got engaged and married the following year at the age if 22. We had a very small wedding on a Wednesday night just a random day we picked.

At the age of 24 we started having children but lost the 1st baby( that was 1year of TTC) so we did not think this would haven fast for us. With in months I was pregnant again with our 1st daughter. We were planning for the girls to be 2 years apart but problems conceiving became a problem again. We gave up and got a dog I then became pregnant with my 2nd daughter. There is 3 1/2 years between the girls. Our family was complete and we were done having children, sold the baby stuff and on with life.......Dh wanted to try for a boy, so we went with the thought if it happens it happens and I became pregnant with my 1st son. There is 3 years between him and the girls. Then out of the blue I became pregnant with my 2nd son ( I was on birth control) and then our family is complete....but we have said that before

We own and operate a cattle feedlot, we have only a handful of breeding cattle. This has been a operation we have been growing every year. We are now feeding over 2000. We have horses, donkeys, rabbits, cats, a couple dogs and a new pet skunk that has made home in our barn not a welcomed guest. I love gardening and plan a large garden ( we just ran out of our garden potatoes just last week)

This is the 1st year I have been a full time SAHM helping on the farm. In the past I managed my families grain elevator. This year we also started homeschooling and have loved every minute !!

That's all I can think of to tell ya

I love the arranged marriage idea hahaha!

Can you see yourself with a larger family?
What made you decide to homeschool?
What don't you have in your garden that you wish you did?

My favorites of the farm.....hmmm everything I love the private, I love getting to walk for miles. The wild flowers that are soon to come up, the animals, playing in the water streams.

Least favorite would be the travel time for sports and things, and sometimes all the mud !

Oops miss the homeschool question!
I love everything about homeschool ! the kids have became closer, fight less, and over all less stress!
Least favorite.... Having to fight with Teagan to do math.

I have no idea how to quote more than one in a post

I can see myself with a larger family, maybe not with birth by adoption. I have always said I want twins

We started homeschooling for a number of reasons, but mostly because DD#2 started running with a rough crowd and she was not learning anything. When she was done grade 1 she was reading at a K level.

I have started growing broccoli and cauliflower and it seemed to work, I did not know with our colder temps. I can't think of anything we are not growing. I would love to be able to keep some of the vegetables longer though.

I also wore white jeans to my wedding
Favorite animal would be my donkeys

The kids help lots on the farm DD#1 drives the tractor and skid steer, DD#2 drives the skid steer and DS#1 is the cattle guy he knows what cattle are in each pen. So they spend a lot of time helping.

Favorite subject was science - it was the kids favorite too so that helps.

For house hold pets we have a yorkie dog, out side everything but the cattle

Favorite movie I would say Erin Brocovich
A board game we play lots is the farming game or the card game uno

I will find a picture tomorrow for this
The manure we spread on our hay land as a natural fertilizer. The garden get some each year too but usually it is to rich for the garden and can burn it out so it sits for a year before it goes to the garden.

I can play by note but I have to study it for a bit before to play, I would play by ear but my teacher did not like that much.
My mugs are the white Tim Horton mugs(2) and the other one is a white one DD#1 bought me for Christmas from the dollar store.

Yes we have several flower gardens, usually the children plant those so we get a mix of everything. But my favorite flower would be my roses or dahlia's.
We have 2 out side dogs a great pyrenees and a cattle working dog. So they keep most everything out of the yard
