What good book have you read recently?

I got a couple of Kobo gift cards for Mother's day and I have no idea which books I want to buy. I'm looking for suggestions. I generally read fiction, I'm not stuck on any one type of book, but I generally don't read romance.

I haven't really read much lately.. The Lovely Bones was good, but sad. I really like John Grisham novels, but the last series I was into was fantasy, The Wheel of Time.

Divergent series!!!! Well, its a trilogy but the 3rd book hasn't come out yet.

You can't go wrong with Jodi Picoult, I recently finished Plain Truth and am currently reading Handle with Care.

Light chic fiction....I enjoy Cathy Kelly, Shelia O'Flanagan, umm....Something Borrowed, Baby Proof....rambling here...I love to read!!

You're the second person who says Lovely Bones is good, I'm going to have to look into that one.

I've never heard of the Divergent series, I'll have to look that one up. I love Jodi Picoult too.

Nothing wrong with a little romance, but I'm not sure I could see myself reading a whole series, I use it for my mindless summer campfire reading.

Currently I'm really into the Sarah Roberts Series by Jonas Saul. It starts when Sarah is 18 and just has this power, she knows when someone is gonna need help, and is there to avert tragedy every time. I really like it. Turns out she had a sister who was murdered before Sarah was born (she never knew, parents didn't tell her) and her sister is the one giving her these messages.

The Shack was a very cool book too. There's a religious aspect.

That sounds interesting Mindy. I'll look into that one too.

I read The Shack a few years ago as part of a book club. It's hanging around here somewhere, I should read it again.

I am reading The Mystery of Mercy Close by Marian Keyes. She is one my favourite chick lit novelists.
