What were some of the best birthday ideas you've ever done/seen? Party themes, games, decorations, anything!

(I need ideas!!)

I think my favourite one I've done so far is the carnival ones I just did for the girls. We had a duck pond, 2 kinds of ball toss, ring toss, plinko board, roulette wheel, hole in one and potato sack races. To make up extra time we also had a parachute and played a game where we tied balloons to each kid's ankle and they had to pop each other's balloon using only their feet. We gave out tickets for the games and had a big prize table at the end. We had kids from 2 up to 13 boys and girls and everyone loved it.

- My 9th birthday party was a tea party (we drank real tea and decided we didn't like it!)
- Teddy Bear's picnic (like the song)
- Tie-tyed items and all the guests tie-dyed a t-shirt and that was their loot bag
Umm....thinking....we didn't go totally all out when we were younger...my parents didn't have the cash and there were 5 of us.
- Airplanes
- Ice cream!

I love themed parties!! Besides the carnival that both girls wanted this year, I've done princess where all the kids dressed up to come. Garden fairies where I made costumes for all the girls, Japanese tea parties and pizza parties where we made our own pizza. I've even helped a friend do a Mad Hatter's tea party based on Alice and Wonderland.

Well, Sophia's is next (she turns 2 in just over a month!), but I have Alyssa's and Hannah's both in early September (turning 1 and 6).

My favourite so far was Alyssa's cookie party last year! I sewed aprons for each kid, and I had pre-made cookie dough and they each added in their own stuff (raisins, chocolate, m n m's, etc)- they loved it!

I like the pizza idea! My friend did that for her 9 year old, but it can be used for other ages too for sure!
