I try to be frugal. I shop thrift stores for clothing, use coupons, buy in bulk and freeze, shop sales and discount racks. Then again I'm not sure it's so much to be frugal rather than necessity for the budget I have to stick to.
- buy meat in bulk and freeze it
- make some presents (usually for family members)
- bring my own bags for grocery shopping
- I am obsessive about turning lights off
- we rarely use AC
- We watch gas prices and try to grab the best before it goes up
- A portion of Cam's clothes are from Once Upon A Child and other swap type things
I try, but lately it sure doesn't feel that way. I always prefer a sale, and try to buy second hand, or used for some things and new for others (which I believe is a way to be frugal as well, because some items paying for quality saves more money than buying multiple replacements for the cheap option)
I would say I am frugal, we buy 2nd hand clothing if we buy new usually it is a sale. We grow our own beef and garden, and only buy on sales. I also coupon. We have a small car that we drive when we can(when we don't have the whole family).
