So, we are scoping out where in our backyard is the best spot to put the vegetable garden we want to start next year since we finally have it fenced in.

There is one part that is on a bit of a slope, but its in sunlight for the majority of the day compared to the rest of the backyard. Would this still be ok? I know nothing, DH knows minimal, and his dad has been super busy (he has a huge garden).

So yeah, is the slope going to be an issue?

No, it should be fine. Check out terrace gardening for pics of gardens on hillsides.

Cool, thank you

And the fence has been in for 2 weeks and we've already found 2 rabbit holes underneath...we were kinda hoping the fence would keep them in the neighbours' yard...no such luck!

Rabbits - so cute yet so destructive when it comes to gardens!
