How often do you do laundry and how many loads do you do at a time?

Do you separate colours, or divide by person, or are you a 'stuff it till it's full' kinda gal?

I am thinking of adopting the FLYlady's a load a day schedule, especially with cloth diapers (once every 3 days) and so much baby laundry!

I used to do a few loads one day every couple of weeks... but I think my plan of attack is changing! I used to separate colours, but since baby's been here, I just throw all the 'adult' clothes in 1 load and baby clothes in another.

Thankfully I have a big front load, that helps a lot.

I think I do about 12-15 loads a week. I do 6 loads on monday, and then I do about a load every day, that I hang to dry in my furnace room, jeans, dh's work clothes, just the stuff that I hate to put in the dryer because it takes so long.
It's great when the weather is nice, I hang a lot of laundry outside, and actually get all caught up.
I'm pretty particular with my laundry, I seperate the like colors. Also, on monday I fold and put away that day, otherwise it hangs over my couch until thursday.

Oh my!!!!

I do...

Cam's clothes probably twice a week on random evenings whenever his basket is about half full.
Then weekends...one white load, one load of shirts, one load of pants, and then either a towel load or a sheet load (alternating weeks).

So total 5-6. I have it REALLY good!

When we were cloth diapering, add 2 more loads in there

Too many!

I usually just separate it into kids and adults. Recently DD2 has decided that wetting the bed is a good idea so I've been doing sheets and a comforter daily. I'm not impressed!

I don't sort colours either, I do ours and the kids seperately, then towels, diapers, and bedding.

I wash diapers every second day, so 3-4 loads/week.
At least 3 loads of kids clothes.
At least 2 loads of ours.
DH's work clothes.
Towels
Bedding (works out to about 3 loads/week because I wash every second week on a rotating schedule)

So at least 13-14 loads/week, and that's if we haven't had any huge messes

Dh is charged $5/paycheque and they wash his uniforms nightly. He works with hazardous waste so I'm ok with that not going in my washer!

How many sheet sets do you have for kids in the case of accidents? One meaning you have to do them frequently if they have accidents?

we have like 9 or 10 crib sheets for all the kids. Since Ros and Will both sleep in toddler beds they still use crib mattress' and sheets

I do 4-6 loads a week. My husband does his own laundry and some towels so that is mine and the baby's plus sheets/towels.
