Looks like we all have rhubarb growing, so what do you do with yours?

I'm pretty boring with mine, we make sauce, jam and crisp out of it, that's about it.

My grandma used to make cake with it. She made it into sauce then made cake out of it. I miss her rhubarb cake.

Mmm, love rhubarb!!! I always ate it raw dipped in sugar. My mom makes rhubarb cocktails...I'm not sure what she does, but its a sugary vodka drink that she freezes and serves when people come over. DELISH!

I give it to my neighbours. I actually made some sauce this year though.

Agh I've got more rhubarb then I know what to do with! I already had a neighbour come cut down one of my plants 2 weeks ago and its ready to be harvested again and I sent home all my frozen rhubarb from last summer with my step-mom. I can't eat it cause I am breastfeeding still. I'm going to have to make some jam as soon as my kitchen is back together.

I have a great recipe for Asian 5 Spice Rhubarb Jam!

I was going to ask the same question. I'm sure I ate rhubarb while breastfeeding all three of mine.

I was googling and it really wasn't clear...but the only thing for sure was that it can significantly reduce your supply. Well, at least I haven't been tempted yet and I'll have to wait a bit longer

Hmm, that may explain a few things, especially why with DD2 who was born in May I had a really hard time keeping a good supply. DS too actually because I was freezing it and eating it all summer. With DD1 who was born in January I had a great supply until she was 5-6 months which would have been right when the rhubarb was ready. Dang! I wish someone had told me this a lot sooner!
