How old are your babies? 9, 6, 22 months
Did you Breast feed? I tried, I seemed to produce a massive amount of milk for the first 3-4 months then I had nothing. As in I could nurse and then pump 10oz for the first few months, but then suddenly in the matter of a couple of weeks my babies were losing weight and I could pump nothing.
For how long? Between 4 and 6 months for all of them, then used the frozen pumped milk that I stored getting them to the 6 months or a little longer.
In public? When I needed to but I'd try to find a quiet spot
Covered or uncovered? With my first covered, by my third I didn't care anymore and was uncovered
Did you ever receive negative feed back about any aspect of breastfeeding? Nothing really negative, my Dad told me he was uncomfortable watching his "little girl" breastfeed, and my doctor was completely unsupportive when I lost my supply telling me I gave them a good start as she handed me a can of formula.
I'm sad to read about the unsupportive ones. Its one thing when you chose to do the formula route, but if you chose the breastfeeding one and are forced the other route, I've seen it cause problems with the moms' emotions. My hospital is the third in Ontario to receive the ''Baby-Friendly Hospital designation. Awarded to health facilities that meet the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding outlined by the WHO and UNICEF, the initiative provides education and support for women to start and continue breastfeeding their babies.'' so I was very lucky. They push it like crazy here...but I think sometimes they can go too far.
