I love my Costco membership! With four kids, it just didn't make sense for us not to get one! Fruit and veggies are so much cheaper! The only thing I've found that I don't think you save much on is meat.

Working today, the Christmas rush is starting to hit!

Yay for a quiet house Caroline!

So Cam has a green snotty nose now. If it's still here in the morning, I won't send him to daycare....she will still take him, but I'm pretty sure I read clear is not contagious while cloudy/green/yellow usually is. He also was a bit warm in the forehead when I was putting him down. So I may just take a sick day tomorrow and cuddle my little guy. But if he's fine, I guess I'll be going to work lol.

We put the gas fireplace on tonight

The problem with that theory Jess, is that most babies/toddlers have green runny noses. They don't grow out of that and make the clear/green thing work until closer to 4/5.

I got so much done with my quiet house this afternoon.

Years of doing daycare! I always noticed that the little one's noses were green, even if they just had a mild cold. I had to put an end to my rule in my daycare contract about no green noses for the little ones, otherwise all winter I never would have had a kid there. Then the daycare center where I worked supply told me that for the most part that's normal until the kids are out of the their toddler years. My doctor agreed, but did say that there are exceptions to every rule.

Interesting! My daycare lady would have taken him regardless but he wasn't oozing snot this morning and no fever and super happy so off he went! Good to know though....darn Dr. Google! I never learn to not listen lol.

He however was the only kid there today....the part-timer isn't there, the other little boy is staying with grandparents this week and the other little girl is home sick. So he gets one-on-one attention today anyways. And nice and relaxing for her. And I'm not worried about him infecting anyone, but maybe the little girl infected him now...the life of a toddler! lol

So I've gained 4lbs so far....after working so hard to get it down, its kind of depressing to see it go up

Yeah, I get to weigh myself at home and then report it to my midwife so not looking isn't an option. But it has a purpose and it will come off! I gained 50 and lsot 70 last time so I can totally do ti again! Although ideally I don't want to gain 50...I don't think I needed to gain that much, I just ate crap.

Yeah, that's right. Cam slept for 8.5 hours and I had to wake him up so I wouldn't be late for work. He also slept some 7 hour stretches on the weekend (like 7-2, so I didn't get the benefit of the full time he slept), and a 3 hour nap on Saturday. He is finally over his cold and sore throat. I'm hoping it continues!!!!!!!!!!

We're slacking in this thread this month!

Must be something in the air cause last night Marcos slept through the night for the first time, from 9:30 to 6am. It was great. Hope he does it again tonight!

Sorry I haven't been around much. I've been a little overwhelmed and stressed the past couple of weeks and I'm just trying to spend some time getting things back in order. I haven't forgotten about you all.

That's ok. I was wondering if things were busy. Hope all is well otherwise! Glad you checked in!

So....CAM SLEPT 7-7 LAST NIGHT!!!

Apparently he did wake up around 3 but he had a chat with his monkey and fell back asleep (DH went to grab a drink of water and heard him).

I had a terrible time putting Marcos to bed last night. Took me 3 hours. He has always been a very needy baby from the very beginning, wanting to be held constantly, but in the last month or so he was getting much better and we were able to put him down in his crib or his playmat for a bit. Then a week ago he started again with wanting to be held all the time. He cries when I put him down and stops instantly the minute I pick him up (no tears, BTW), so I know that he's not sick or in pain and he just wants the attention... but then when I give him the attention he wants, he ultimately tries to wriggle out of my arms like he wants to get away! It's like "Buddy, you can't roll around, you can't crawl or walk, and you don't want me to put you down... WHAT do you want from me?" I'm exhausted.

Growth spurt?

I hope the sleeping continues! He's been a bear to put down tonight, DH is taking a turn to give me a break. He goes down for 10 minutes and then starts crying as if he's dying. I'm hoping he stays asleep once he goes down.

DS went to bed early tonight. Unfortunately that will likely mean I'm up early. The only hope I have is that he didn't nap this afternoon so maybe he's super tired and will actually sleep right to 7.
