Woohoo!!! Nice job!!!! 9 goals is amazing!!!!

Lazy day here today. Weather was yucky and I was tired so I took a nap instead of being productive during Cam's nap. It was wonderful lol. Still did 7 loads of laundry though! I hate it when I need to do towels and sheets on the same weekend.

Tomorrow...the floors. I hate doing the floors.

Oh, and my dog just puked on the area rug. We have almost no carpet and she ALWAYS pukes on my area rug. She rarely pukes but when she does its disgusting. DH is cleaning it up because he's awesome!

Bronze medal and 4 more goals! I'm so proud of my little lady! It was a nail biter of a game right up to the end I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Final score was 7-6.

Wow! That's amazing! It's fantastic that she's found something she enjoys and she excels at. How is your other DD doing with dance so far?

Boring day here. I got nothing else lol.

Oh my gosh, she really has started to excel this year, other teams have heard about "the girl in the pink helmet" and came to watch her games, we were approached by another city about her playing for the, and approached by 3 Provincial level coaches about her trying out in the spring to play at that level. Very proud of her, but slightly scared that we may get in over our heads.

DD2 loves her dance, she really tries hard but she loses focus easily. I also think she has two left feet. When she practises at home she gets all silly, but she doesn't do too bad at the studio and other moms have told me their daughters started out the same way and are competing now so there is some hope.

Yay for both your DDs! Everyone starts out with 2 left feet. As long as she enjoys it at this point! That's crazy about DD1! She must be amazing!!!

I have gained 11lbs already. And am only 19 weeks. This is not going well, and I'm really struggling from a mental standpoint after working so hard to lose the weight.

DD1 has some talent I can't deny that, she also puts a lot of time in practicing. I'm still not sure about her playing Provincially.

DD2 really does love her dance and seems to have a lot of fun doing it. I just hope she keeps her enthusiasm.

Caroline, hope you don't have to head out tonight! I heard your general area is going to get 15cm!

Poor Cam is sick I may be taking a sick day from work tomorrow

I had an ultrasound today! Still team green need to scan things in and upload the pictures He/She is SUPER cute and very stubborn already. The ultrasound took an hour and a half. The tech made me pee. That didn't help. Then made me walk the halls for 5 minutes. That didn't work. THREE internals, and the head radiologist had to come help. Ridiculous! Baby was having a dance party and is super low, head down on my cervix, which made things difficult. Get my full results tomorrow!

So baby is a handful already?! Good luck!

I was actually out most of the day. It wasn't as bad as they were calling for. It's been snowing all day and we have about 2-3 inches of snow on the ground but it's coming in waves, it hasn't been snowing heavy all day.

I found my son's Christmas outfit, a shirt to go with the skirt I had already bought for DD1 for Christmas and a couple of gifts. I was shopping with my mom, and she got DS a big work bench with all the pieces, one side is a mechanic with an engine to work on and the other side is a wood working bench with a saw. It has a ton of pieces and working flashlights, its so cool! It was also on sale for over $100 off! I would have bought it myself for my son but my mom really wanted to buy it for him.

My oldest DD also got enrolled as a Guide tonight. The other girls in her Guide unit put on a wonderful little ceremony for her since she was the only Guide to be enrolled this year.

Now I'm home and looking forward to my pillows tonight.

So here is my post from in my DDC (easier than trying to retype it out):

Two choroid plexus cysts were noted on my baby's head. They apparently occur in 1/100 pregnancies and typically are not an issue. But given the issues they had with his/her position (SUPER low, head on my cervix), they couldn't see the cavum, they are recommending another ultrasound at the high-risk hospital (McMaster). Essentially if there is any malformation in the cavum, combined with the cysts, that is considered a soft marker for Trisonomy 18. I have absolutely no other markers, and my midwife is pretty sure the ultrasound place is just covering themselves from a liability point of view. We are waiting to see if the high-risk hospital will see me, or if they'll tell me to not waste their time (especially as I am under 35). I went ahead and got a blood test done that will tell me a better chance of Trisonomy 18.

So that's where we are right now. I'm a little stressed out and my midwife said not to google and so far I've held out.

That's scary, Jess. Sending you good vibes. I'm sure everything will be fine.

So DS decided these last two days that he doesn't want to nurse. The problem is that I had some appointments to go to last week so DH took care of him and gave him milk from the bottle quite a few times. Well DS now throws a fit every time I try to nurse him because the milk does not come out as fast as he wants it to. He'll latch on for 1 second, then latch off and cry and scream out of frustration with big tears rolling down his face, because he is too impatient. Every time he got hungry, it took me about an hour to get him to calm down and latch on long enough to get something out of it. It's hard watching him because I know he's hungry but if I cave and give him a bottle, then I am going to be stuck pumping all the time and I just don't want to do that. Hopefully this is just a little phase and he'll be back to normal tomorrow.

Oh man, you two ladies had tough days!

Jess I'm sure it will all be fine and it's just a precaution that they want to send you to the other doctor.

I hope your baby goes back to nursing soon. It's so hard when they're hungry but refusing to eat.

So Jess, you asked how my little DD was doing in dance and I thought she had 2 left feet. Well, apparently I know nothing about dance! Duh! The teacher called me over tonight before class. She apparently wants to see my DD on stage in early spring. The teacher has two competitions and one show in mind for my DD. So now I have to register her for a competitor number, register her with the association, and buy her a full outfit. So much for recreational dance.

That's amazing Caroline!!!! See, your daughters are just fantastic You'll be a dance mom too in no time!

Hope you're little one got over his nursing strike. I was very lucky to not have to deal with it with Cam...he just has a general love of food. Even now, our DCP comments how much he loves food. But I'm sure he'll hit a strike sometime soon.

So. I go to McMaster on Nov 29. Which sucks because I had to move Cam's 15 month appointment, but at least I already had that day off work. DH is coming with me. We'll get a long indepth 3D ultrasound at 11am, and then at 1:30pm we meet with genetic counsellors. This seems pretty intense for something that typically naturally occurs. I don't know if they sent the initial ultrasound pictures and measurements over or if they were just asked to look at me. I wonder if there's more to be interpreted that the techs here don't know about and that's why they are making me meet with the counsellors or if that's just general practice. It sucks because now I have to wait 2 weeks. And I was just really starting to feel movement (darn anterior placenta!) and really starting to bond, and now I can feel myself pulling away. Scared that he/she will be stillborn (typical outcome for 50% of Trisonomy 18 babies). I wish this wasn't happening.

Some days I don't feel like being a Mom. That is likely very wrong of me to admit out loud, but honestly some days I'm just tired and grumpy and don't want to put up with the demands of having 3 kids. Today is one of those days.

I went with our Spark/Brownie/Guide units last night to a big Guiding event that started at 4 yesterday and ran until 8:30 this morning. I spent all that time being "on" and got no sleep, that was after spending yesterday morning on a field trip with DD1's class. Unfortunately today I just want to curl up and sleep and not be a mom for a few hours.

How do you moms get through the day when you just have nothing more to give? I seriously don't even feel like I have the energy to go make the kids lunch right now.

Ironically, whenever I feel that way, I call my own mom to vent. Usually by the time the conversation is over, I find the strength to go on with everything.
