Here we go again!

Picking up where we left off....Caroline! That is a HORRIBLE way to end the month I hope you get your ring fixed quickly.

Weather here sucked last night. We had SEVEN kids. SEVEN!

And with the wind and everything. we had no power this morning. Getting ready for work with a 14 month old in the dark having only a flashlight app on my phone...not something I want to repeat anytime soon!

DS has issues taking decent naps throughout the day because he usually does not sleep for more than 30min at a time. It makes him cranky because I think what he needs at his age, at least once a day (if not twice), is a good, long chunk of uninterrupted sleep.

So today, I'm super psyched that he took a 2.5hr nap during lunchtime. I can tell he is well rested because he is in a great mood and so much easier to deal with. Plus I got to have a well-deserved break and eat my lunch in peace and quiet!

Ugh, that sucks, Jess! We haven't lost power yet, but a lot of places near us have!

Jessifer, hooray for a good nap!

A shot of my four "spooks" last night before we headed out

Your kids are just too cute Chantelle!

Jessifer, that's an amazing nap for his age!!! Cam didn't take longer naps till like 8-9 months.

I apologize if I'm not around much. My grandfather has been moved into the hospital and its basically a waiting game. He was not conscious at all today. It really sucks.

I'm sorry for your loss Jess

Had a home inspection done on a house we're looking at today. It's a beautiful 120 year old house, with 7 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. I'm in love with it! So I'm hoping we get back good news about the inspection!

Sorry to hear about your grandfather Jess.

House sounds great Chantelle, I hope you hear some good news back from it!

I went to a church bazar this morning with my mom, we got some good deals. Then we went to Costco, Walmart and NoFrills. It's so much more fun shopping with another adult instead of alone with 3 kids, my mom makes shopping an all day event including lunch out. Now I need a nap though.

Thank you ladies. No funeral or anything which kinda sucks since there is no closure but we are building his 'Book of Memories' online and I have been scanning and uploading photos and such. Its been cathartic.

Hope you get the house Chantelle!

Love bazars! Especially Christmas ones!!!!

How's the time change affecting everyone?

Time change is killing me!

All my kids wake up wonderfully right now, but evening is a disaster. DS is a hot mess by supper and then refuses to eat. His naps are also all messed up and he's cat napping now instead of having his 3 hour nap that I'm used to. DD2 can barely stay awake after supper. I tried to take her to the library last night after we ate and we couldn't stay long because she was just done. It's not affecting DD1, she's been little miss preteen attitude for a while now so that's nothing new.

Literally at 5:15pm, my sweet little guy becomes this tantrum throwing monster. And he keeps trying to get up between 5:30 and 6am. He sleeps about 2.5 hours a day at daycare!

Hope this doesn't last too much longer.

I never thought I'd like the spring time change better! lol

DS won't eat supper, he's just a screaming hot mess and refuses to eat. He hasn't napped, but I think that's due to the noise and construction right outside our house rather than the time change. I just don't know what to do with him, he tells me he's tired and hungry but refuses to eat and can't sleep. I've spent more time the past two days just sitting rocking and hugging him than I have in a long time. Don't get me wrong, I love the cuddles but it's getting tiring.

Sorry about your grandfather, Jess.

The time change has not affected Marcos. In fact, it's been helpful because now by 7:30, he's pretty tired since it's supposed to be even later. Yesterday was terrible, though, because we went to the mall for the afternoon to do some Christmas shopping and because he's so curious and wants to look at everything, he didn't sleep at all. By the time we got home and had dinner, he was running on like 12 hours of no sleep and so all he did was cry from being overtired. I'm talking loud, inconsolable crying that wouldn't stop no matter what we did.

I have to take him with me downtown tomorrow because I have a specialist's appointment, and I am dreading it because this happens every time we go somewhere for the whole afternoon.

Hope your DS is doing better tonight Caroline. Poor guy. Does he have his eye teeth? Maybe growing pains?

Hope tomorrow goes well for you!

Talked to my Nana today. Since my Papa isn't having a funeral or anything, I won't see her until closer to Christmas. It was a hard conversation but she is doing so amazing. Such an inspiration considering they were married for 58 years. And she was telling me how wonderful my parents have been...I hope I can provide that kind of support to my parents and DH's dad in the future. This sounds terrible but I'm not so much fussed about DH's mom...but she made inappropriate comments on my facebook again so she's back on limited profile and I'm annoyed to say the least.

Tournament weekend for us. 5 games in 3 days. I just finished sewing the last of the jerseys tonight, got to the last little bit of the last one and my needle breaks! I managed to finish, but it doesn't look pretty. Door signs came in yesterday, talk about down to the last minute, I'm just happy they're right and didn't need to be reprinted. I have parents who haven't gotten their health forms in and really shouldn't be on ice tomorrow without them. Oh and one jersey is still missing from our set so I have one girl who doesn't have an away jersey! Can you tell I'm a little stressed?

Good luck this weekend! Hope they do well and have fun!!!! And that your stress level goes down

Woke up to snow. And its been snowing on and off all day so far. Awesome. Didn't think I'd need DS's boots yet but I put them on anyways, even though they're a size too big still

Popping in. 4 games down we won two and lost two. Early tomorrow morning we play for the bronze medal. So far this weekend my DD has scored 9 goals! I'm a tired but proud mommy/manager.
