My mom and I got some of the alterations done today. The buttons on the vest needed replacing, but the lady who sold it to me had the new buttons with it, so that wasn't too hard. Then there was a small split in the seams right under the armpits that were a quick sew and the elastics in the arms of the blouse were shot, but I had the right sized elastic in my sewing kit so that was a quick fix too.
Now the only thing that should need any alterations is the kilt, right now when we do the inner layer tight enough that it doesn't fall down the outer layer bubbles at the front. Our teacher said the buckle likely needs to be moved and that is not something I'm about to attempt on my own!
