My DS is a nightmare. He screams as we head to his bedroom to do this. I try to fool him by giving him toys, but it doesn't always work. I don't know what to do. I get soooo stressed out, he used to be such a joy to change but now . Any suggestions that others do would be great.

I wouldnt be much help to you. When DS was 14 months old he started this "I want daddy to change my diaper and change me only" phase. He would scream and cry and squirm and turn when it would be me. Everyone said the phase would pass. Here we are and hes almost 3 and DH still has to change him lol.

DD is the same way, I despise changing her now and used to adore it. Tricking with toys also doesn't work, she just wants to flip around and crawl. Sorry, no suggestions, but am eager to hear other responses!

(PS. I recognize your DS's pic from weddingbells! I'm also babydahl there.)

DS also does this - the only thing that helps is giving him something he normally is NOT allowed to have...such as my watch or his pewter train....this saves me only a minute and I have to be sure to have diaper and wipey ready to make a very quick change....sucks as he flips over, cries and twists around and it's stressful.....makes it hard for anyone else to change him unless they have tons of experience. Good luck!

Going through the same thing. I change Angus while he is standing and playing with a toy half the time.
