In Quebec we have our own version of the canada child tax benefit where we get a cheque every 3 months. I get 512 bucks. I just called to change my address cause I am moving to Ontario so she said of course I wont be eligible for this anymore. I asked her if there is a provincial one in Ontario and she said as long as I change my address with the Canadian government they will fwd my info to Ontario ministries who will get in touch with me if such a program does exist. So does anyone know if there is an ontario provincial family or child benefit?

I know that have that option in Quebec because my sister receive it for my niece but we don’t have that in Ontario. We only receive the baby bonus on the 20 of each month and the $100.00 per month for the daycare program that just stared last month.

If you are on a low family income (I think its $21,000 and less) you get the Family supplement on top of the child tax.... Its abot $90/month. And on top of that you get child tax plus the child day care funds.

I know how you feel, I moved from Quebec to Ontario while 3 months pregnant... so I didn't even get to take advantage of the provincialfamily allowance!
