I tested Friday morning and got the positive.. I went to the doctor's this morning. She didn't even do another test ~ said that one was good enough! She said "you are pregnant" and dh was there to witness it! So she gave me some sheets to get some blood work done so I'm off tomorrow morning to get that done. She said at 10 weeks (around Dec. 20th for me) that they do a complete pre-natal check up and then I go once a month after that. At 6 months, I get transferred to the Ob group of doctors where I'll be delivering because regular doctor's don't deliver... So that's it for now.

If you decide upon a midwife, you will do all these visits with her instead!

Yep if you go with the midwife, you can start going right away I remember with my kids they start seeing you as soon as your pregnant

I emailed from my work address.. I hope to have good ones from the midwife when I get to work on Monday... I think a midwife could be helpful in feeling like the system isn't so disconnected.. Hopefully I'll gain confidence for the big day of delivery then the newborn phase, etc..
