As some of you know, my son was seriously ill this month with Kawasaki disease. Now that things are settling down, I want to show SO how much I appreciate everything he did while i was at the hospital with DS. He took care of my other 2 kids as well as his 2, visited the hospital, spent time with my dad, and drained the rest of his year's holidays to stay home from camp for me. He is due to come home Wed night, and I would like to do something special for him. I am running on a VERY small budget... basically nothing lol...but would love some ideas! Thanks in advance!

How about a nice massage with a beer or some sort of snack!!! Massage oil is pretty cheap at the body shop and makes you seem like a pro even though you might not have great massaging techniques... Hope this helps, good luck and have a good time with your hubby

Cook his favourite meal and make a big fuss over it - have the kids make him cards or gifts for his homecoming. You could even have family and friends over to celebrate with a potluck dinner (to keep costs and effort down).

How is your son now? I have never heard of Kawasaki disease.

Thanks guys...i think we are going to go on an adult only camping trip friday night... my son is getting better... still has to have more testing done later this week and again in 7 weeks to check on his heart and make sure it is not suffering any ill effects from it. Google Kawasaki Disease if you would like to know more about it. It is a very scary and not well known virus.
