It is going to be $400 for each man, woman, and child, paid at the end of the year. So, for us we will get it for our new baby too, so another $2400 towards 4 kids education funds...

i swear i almost cried when i saw this post...that money would just make saving for the baby 100x easier!!!! the only thing is i havent done my taxes in awhile...being in and out of the country and not working due to illness i was never sure how to...does that mean i wont qualify?

I would imagine you would have to have filed taxes to qualify.

LOL!! A new government tax system! Hey that's not funny-

Just kidding! I guess I'll have to learn how to mark the dependants on the tax forms. I'm wondering, do both of you claim or does just one or how does that work?

Did you gilrs hear? Anne Macullan said that the federal government will work with provincal gov't to have this tax free!!!!!
