I was just watching the Edmonton news and they said in Ontario it had gone up to 2.15 in a couple of places overnight.

Then they say, and this is hillarious.

"Some relief on the gas prices may be coming soon. TD Bank Analysts are saying the price could go down to the .70 - .80 range again in early 2007"

Woohoo, we get to wait 16-17months for relief that's coming soon.lol

Brandy, what do you mean that the posted price is 99.9 but the discount is at the till. Do you have a card from somewhere that gives a discount? I have no idea what we actually pay until the bill arrives or dh gets a sheet printed off that has the cost of what we paid and then I have to calculate it.

We are still at 99.9 (posted price) here, and of course, the discount is applied at the pumps. No increase at all, we have been at 99.9 for about a week.[/b]
Yup I filled up yesterday at Shell here. It was 99.9 posted, but 96.4 with the discount.

Dh said gas went up .15 this morning, but he hadn't left the house nor really talked to anyone so i don't know how he'd know that.lol

Looking on gasbuddy.com it looks like the gas dropped alot in alberta. I'm moving to grande prairie where it was .89

It is also looking alot lower in Saskatchewan which is always higher than we are so I think dh's full of it.

It was 99.9 for awhile here and right now it is 1.02 DH said that when he went to fill up (since the rumours of it increasing) it was insane and there was actually a physical fight while he was there! This is so crazy!

Ours was at 110.9 and it didn't go up. The gas station where the rumor started is self serve but they had an employee out there pumping because people were butting in front of one another and almost coming to blows.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did it on purpose. Anything for a buck.

The discount is applied at the till.

When Safeway brought a gas bar here they offered 3.5cents off per litre if you bought from them and another 3.5cents off per litre if you bought XX$ in groceries. So, all the rest of the stations in town now offer 3.5cents off per litre.

Gas prices still haven't risen here, I don't think they will.

That is what happened when DH was there. Someone was trying to butt in on one of the lines and it got nasty.

Did you all hear that they have found price gouging on the gas, by 7cents per litre we're not supposed to be paying.lol There was talk on the radio this morning that they should backdate that and put the gas down to 88cents per litre for overpricing us the last 2months, like that'll happen.
