I voted all the time, although I don't lock them when I bring the dog for a walk.

I voted all the time.
We lock them when we leave and at night. If dh goes to work (and I don't ) he locks it behind him when he leaves.
It's usually not locked during the day if we are home but I think heavly on it sometimes, especially if I'm home alone. Not that a lot of people stop in but a lot of times I'm not dressed (for the day-I do have clothes on..lol).

I've been a door locker for a long time.. since I watched Oprah and she was talking about home invasions, and people that just walk into houses, and rob and rape and pillage.. (lol).. Oprah made me paranoid! I finally have hubby trained to do it all the time too..

We live in the country in a small town, so I'm sure it's not totally necessary, but I'm a worry wart, and never take anything for granted. I figure if they want to get in when I'm at home, at least them "trying" to get in at first would alert me to help protect myself, or go out another door.

My friend was telling me last night that she and her children were sitting at the kitchen table last week, and a drunk naked man walked in the door in the same room! She got her kids upstairs to a locked bedroom door and called the police, but in the meantime, the guy went into her bathroom and pee'd all over the floor!! How creepy is that?? She lives in the same small town as me, but right in town.

I would image everyone felt so helpless... that's a terrible feeling.
