Acid reflux?? I have that, never ever had anything worse than heartburn and acid in my throat when lying down. That just doesnt sound right to me......

My friends ex gf had her gall bladder out in high school, and a couple other people I know as teenagers. It can happen at any age *sigh*

Your hospital sounds like mine. Went in with strep throat, no food or water for three days. 6hrs later, they treat a girl with a sore throat that said she could eat and drink just fine first. A couple people that had colds. A man that cut his thumb OFF was STILL in the waiting room.....its awful, just awful. I will drive for 40mins to another city. I have tons of stories, hospitals are awful and poorly understaffed from "cut backs", its ridiculous.

Brandi it sounds like you had a gallbladder attack. I had the exact same thing. They removed mine last May. My husband also had a gallbladder attack (vomiting, couldnt breath properly, chest pains etc), I had to call 911. The ambulance came and 17 hrs later (long day) DH had emergency surgery to remove his gallbladder.

I would suggest you make an appt with your doctor and request an ultrasound to see if you have any gallstones. From there (if you have gallstones) your doctor will probably book you with a surgeon for surgery.

Sorry you had to go through that. It's so painful!

The funny thing is, is that my doctor thought it was Acid Reflux for almost 2 years!! It wasn't until I started having severe gallbladder attacks at least once a month! The more attacks I had, the longer they lasted (days)! My doctor finally sent me for an ultrasound. They found one huge stone (2cm round)! The surgeon said that there were signs of stress on my gallbladder obviously due from the reoccurring attacks. If left untreated it can cause kidney damage!
