As the days get shorter and colder it is time for me to get back on the treadmill. We had an active summer but I can already feel the lazy days of fall and winter setting in. I will not let myself be still!

What are you going to be doing to make sure you stay active this winter?

Robert and I are starting p90x on Sunday, so that will take me through most of the rest of the year. I'd like to take up either snow-shoeing or cross-country skiing... depending on if I can get the gear. Usually the roads are plowed well enough that I can walk outside some days, so I'll get out for a walk down the road when I can.

I am getting big into fitness dvds! i have one in particular that i really enjoy (Davina McCall - High Energy Five [DVD]: Amazon.co.uk: Davina: DVD)
it has the workouts broken up into pump (using free weights) abs, legs, aerobics and boxing with a warm up and cool down. so i do a warm up, 2 sections and the cool down.

i also got some of the zumba dvds, which are a bit difficult, but are great for a bit of variety, and i also go to the zumba class on a tues night. it is so much fun. cant wait for my next one!

i tried the couch to 5 k and i liked it, but the nights are getting dark and we dont have street lights where we live i'm not able to do it.
