Have you thought about your approach to Thanksgiving, all that food? Are you going to try to stick to your diet/calorie goals, or do you figure it's just once a year?

I haven't decided yet!

i dont have thanksgiving, but i have been thinking about christmas. I think i will stick to what i did last year. i was down half a pound at my post christmas weigh in, so it obv worked!

i didnt track for xmas eve, xmas day or st stephens day (day after xmas here in ireland) but i didnt go nuts. i ate reasonable portions of meals, had reasonable treats (eg 3 chocolates instead of a big bowl, one slice of dessert instead of half a pie, one bag of crisps instead of my usual 6) and enjoyed the season. then straight back into it. I only bought enough "naughty" stuff for the 3 days so there was nothing lingering. I told visitors in advance to excuse my lack of hospitality in the food department and they all understood.

Robyn, that seems like a really reasonable approach.

if plans don't have to change we're having thanksgiving with some friends this year. that will help me, I think, because I tend to be self-conscious about how much I eat in front of other people- I'll have an easier time being good!
