You'll love it! It is a tough class but you'll want to go back for the torture

Quote:
That sounds great. Would the teachers volunteer or be paid?
I really have to research more, but I *think* they would get a percentage of the classes so it would be based on participation. There are different options but we have 3-4 classes offered through Parks and Rec so the teachers charge $10 per person and then pay a fee to the P&R board as rent so it would be similar

EVERYTHING!!! All kinds of squats and lunges, chest exercises, quad exercises, biceps, triceps, abs, back, all with weights! The more time goes on, the more I'm hurting!!! MFP says I burned 650 calories today! I'm going to MAKE myself go to spin tomorrow and work through the pain. If I'm hurting like I am now, I'm gonna be in some major pain in the morning! I'll just have DH roll me out of bed lol

How did everyone do today??

Make sure you at least take a walk and stretch tomorrow. Got a hot tub? If so, use it!

I was hurting this AM--just general aches and pains so decided to just do yoga, but I did spend 3 hours dancing and cleaning my house

I second the hot tub wish!

I did an hour on the treadmill while watching some Grey's .

Not sure what today will be yet. Maybe a bunch of yard work?

Make sure to just keep moving--sitting around will make it hurt more so take a walk and stretch! And get DH to massage

Jen, sorry you are so sore. Try a hot soak and epsom salts.

I did a five mile run today, my longest so far. My time was 1:03 so it was more of a jog than a run, LOL! OT, but this has been a really weird week for me. This is week one of that 5k training schedule I'm using (from about.com) and there has been a lot of stuff going on... grumpy kids, sick goats, and last night seven of our chickens were carried off probably by coyotes. Sometimes I wonder why the heck I'm trying to do this, anyway... Other times I think it is the only thing helping me maintain my (questionable) sanity!

Just did Leslie Sansone walk . I can tell I'll be sore! I think it was this one Amazon.com: Leslie Sansone Walk at Home - Walk Away Your Hips & Thighs: Movies & TV

It is a decent weather day so I may walk when Grayson wakes up.

Jen, hope your body is starting to feel a little better. Maybe take it a little slower. No sculpting just yet.

Jennifer, I realized today that I know have 2 days a week w/ no children in the afternoons (if I can get Gray to nap). I finally can attempt yoga if I wanted too! It seems like every time I turn some on someone has some drama or there is a baby on my feet, lol.

I did Yoga and Spin this morning.....and while I may have burned around 1000 calories, I don't know if it was worth it. I'm taking it easy tomorrow. IF I feel up to it, I MAY do some treadmill....but that's a big IF and MAY!!!

Goodnight ladies!!!!!!

Oh Valerie, I added you on MFP

it's easy to feel run down if you're doing too much too soon... recovery days are an important part of the process! (Says me... I hate recovery days, LOL!)

On my schedule for today was 30 easy minutes, so I turned it into a hill climb on the treadmill. Also did some strength training for legs and abs/core. burned 430 calories in just about an hour. And that finishes week 1 of this 5k training schedule. Next week I'm going to keep better track of my miles.

The Y offers a free consultation with a trainer and I'm meeting with him tomorrow at 8. Don't know why I got it so early....but oh well! Doing spin and super sculpt again tomorrow....wish me luck! LOL

Hope your consult went well. What all did they have you do? I did something once that had me sore for about 4-5 days--it was so frustrating
