Since Scarlett was born, I haven't done a lot of exercising or working out and such. I'm just not motivated, I guess. I'm wondering if anybody would like to be "fitness buddies" so we help each other stay motivated and on track.
I don't have any goals to lose weight, but I have no problems if you do. I pretty much just want to get myself back into shape. My idea is that we could make plans on what we would do/not do as far as exercise or diet is concerned and be able to report back to each other about how we are doing. Not necessarily have the same plan. I guess I'm thinking having someone to be accountable to would help because I'll feel bad if I have to come and tell a person that I was a slacker and didn't do anything all day lol

I've just started working out more the last few weeks. I'm walking 2 miles a day, in the evenings, but in the mornings I'm working out on a ski machine here at home and doing 10-15 minutes of cardio stretching. Not a whole lot - just some small steps to get my body used to it.
It took a month, but I've dropped 8lbs and 1 pants size so far. (I was *gasp* a size 18, and now I'm in 16's.)
thats great!!!! slow and steady wins the weightloss race....the faster you drop the lbs the more likely you are to gain it all back so i think 8lbs in a month is FANTASTIC!!! so far i've dropped about 20lbs in 6 months time thats roughly 3-4lbs a month which is about right on target for me
Babymakes8, what sort of cardio stretches do you do?? I don't have any equipment here at home other than my husbands weight bench :/ I might do a search on youtube and see if I come across any good, indoor friendly exercised. I've been wanting to take Scarlett out for a walk every now and then, but it's already soooo hot out and incredibly humid lately. It makes for a miserable outting lol..ehh...
Congrats to both of you guys on your weight loss! Kiliki has a really good point about losing slower rather than faster and being able to keep it off that way.
Hey happilyeverafter! I have a Facebook group where we all encourage each other through our workouts. It's pretty motivating when you have other people struggling with you. I'd be glad to add you! I am a Christian SAHM momma of 2 boys (2.5 and 1) and just managed to lose 24 lbs since August! Would that be something you might be interested in??
