I didn't with Emma but that is definitely the plan with Max! There is only one delivery room with a pool at the maternity home here though and if someone else is in it I can't have it so then my plan will be out the window and I will demand to give birth in the bath lmao I seriously wish I had done it with Emma!

I think water is a huge huge help. I am hoping to give birth at home though so I will probably use
the shower as my bath is nowhere near as big as the ones in the delivery suite. I did use a birthing pool with Sebi but was sick in the water so decided to get out lol! I would advise not to get in too early though...use it in the final stages and then get out to push if you so wish

I spent a lot of time labouring in the shower, Charlotte. It really helped! Much less grim throwing up in the shower than it is in a bath.
I didn't give birth in water though. I was booked for a homebirth, but our house isn't big enough for a birthing pool. And once we got transferred to hospital, I kinda forgot about a water birth option.

I hope to use the birthing pool at our hospital, but they only have one, so I'm hoping no one else goes into labour same day as me

I haven't used the birthing pool myself, but I know plenty of people who have and said it worked wonders to help relieve their pain. You don't have to give birth in the pool; that's entirely your choice.
