how do you know when to take them to the doctors?? (bare with me no experience with kids and colds haha)

Rhianna has what i think is a cold... her nose keeps running (but its not clean its green) when she breaths sometimes it sounds as if there is snot on her chest, if she coughs it goes though.... so is this a cold or do you think it could be a chest infection??

Mum always maintains anything green is infection. Is her cough loose? I take it you aren't able to see what she's coughing up? I know myself, I can never spit out my "cough up" to investigate it!!!

I found this on the internet:

In fact a snotty nose often indicates your body is fighting off a cold. While combating a virus, your white cells create mucus in the lining of your nose; the more active the white cells, the more likely you are to get green snot.

She is probably swallowing some of the snot and is coughing to try and get rid of it? If the cough doesn't get better in a couple of days then I would definitely take her to the doctor and get it checked out though. You can never be too sure with these things.
