Ok, I boughtmy neices birthday prezzie on Wednesday as it was her birthday and i couldnt afford to get her owt any eariler. anyway! i got her Alvin and the chipmunks DVD and paid 12 for it, I thought it was a bit pricey but i said i would get her that.

My little sister has just informed me that i must have lied about how much i paid for the dvd because it says its 6.99 on the website. I thought she was winding me up as she has a habit of doing lateley so i looked on the website and there it is in black and white as clear as day 6.99!!! Is there anything i can do???!!! I feel like i have been conned into paying an extra 6!

that's odd the difference in price! I'm shocked your sis would mention it though, I've been brought up to appreciate a gift and would never have challenged a price paid for it

So was I... And i thought they was aswel.

I just think they do this sort of thing to be picky. And to try and cause friction KWIM? Its not like thats all we got her for her birthday - I also stuck a 10 in her card!

I phoned her this morning and she said it was my mum who told her to check because it "sounded expensive" I am taking the recipt when i go to my mums later just to prove that i DID pay 12 for it.

They prolly do, the online store reduces their overheads so they'll prolyl eventually close their stores and go online only...

But that is a MASSIVE difference. I wanted Stu to get me love actually in HMV thinking it would be like 6 but it was 15.... i don't like HMV anymore... play.com all the way. I reckon p&p on a dvd like that would only be 2.50 x
