im fed up of all the clutter, Im not the tidiest person in the world but this is starting to bug me no end. so strating this morning I am going through each room everyday and throwing away/recycling 5 things from each room, im hoping this appraoch will work!
Ive also just been through the bookshelf and have got a load of books to give to my friend for a church sale she is having - hasnt made that much of a dent though i have literally hundreds of books!
and tonight when the extra kids have gone home im going through the kids wardrobes and getting rid of some of their outgrown clothes!
how cluttered is your house? are you a hoarder like me?

My house is terrible! Like you, it really really annoys me, but doesn't motivate me to throw stuff out or take it to a charity shop

my old place was. this one isnt so bad but ive only been here a couple of months
i have a few things that seem to have come to this house from the old one when they shouldnt have (old mobiles and gameboys mainly) so im popping them on ebay but im holding off as i dont want to be worrying about getting them posted while im waiting for baby to arrive (since we dont know when it going to happen now)
i have tried to get sadie to "clear out" some of her toys as she has too many but she is convinced baby is a girl so wants to keep them to share with her

I'm terrible! i keep everything and anything, i keep saying to myself i'll sort through Karl's clothes and see what he's outgrown as i know there is quite a bit but i still haven't done it. Also when we where getting ready for him to arrive i didnt throw anything away just shoved it all in the loft

I am terrible too. I keep EVERYTHING. I still have everything I've ever owned It's gettind ridiculous and driving us all crazy though so we ARE going to do a car boot soon, it's just so hard to do a proper clear out and then car boot when we have the kids! My Mum has Emma once a week but I feel bad asking her to have Max as well and I don't trust anyone else with him!

I've just recently got rid of a load of books! I had to be really ruthless; I knew a large majority of them I would never read again (even though I enjoyed them) so I put them in bags and took them down to the charity shop before I changed my mind!
Zach's bedroom needs a good de-clutter as it's full of rubbish! He's got so many toys we are fast running out of places to put them.

Dale hates that I have boxes and boxes of leaflets, tickets, little souvenirs (like stones, sand etc) from everywhere I've ever been, and letters, school books etc., every leaflet I got when pregnant! He thinks it's pointless but it's not, I don't mind stuff like that cause when I'm 30, 40, 50, 60 I'll get a LOT of pleasure out of going through all that! It's the junk that does my nut in, stuff that we buy 'cause it's cheap' and never use! Baby 'stuff', TOYS TOYS TOYS, clothes! We have a cot and brand new mattress up there which will never be used because we bought another one , pushchairs, just junk to us but useful stuff!

I'm not a lover of clutter, we have some but generally if its left lying about I bin it....that includes Simon's clothes if he doesn't put them in the wash!
