ok so paul has had a series of tests since hes been in hopital and today had a camrea down, the dr came while we were there and he deffo has a hole in his heart (not as bad as it sounds)
when you are inside the womb you have a "flap" in your heart to pass oxygenated blood from the left to the right of the heart, then up to the brain, when you are born this "flap" should shut, but in so many people it doesnt and for most people it never causes a problem, and for a small amount of people, paul being 1 of them it does, they seem to think a blood clot from some where in his body travelled up to the left side of his heart, and through the "flap" if the flap had closed it would have just disappeared, but because the flap is open it got through to the right hand and therefore travelled up to his brain,
he has 2 options
option 1 leave it and take asprin for the rest of his life to keep his blood thin
option 2 have a small operation to close the hole, it include placing a cathertar in his groin and using a vein to feed a little thing up to close the hole, and still take asprin
he is determind to have the operation, which i totally agree with as we will always be worried that he will have a repeat stroke, this will happen in the next few weeks
they are going to start the arrangements for him to move back to hussdersfield on monday

he can still move and then get transffered back to leeds for the operation but just for a day.
we also took him outside for some fresh air today, he got a little upset as he hasnt been outside for almost 2 weeks.
