My loan hasn't come thru, which is of no surprise to me. Seeing as I have yet to confirm my loan by signing a piece of paper and posting it back. Great, except my three peices of paper (the original is lost somewhere in the post, never received it) and the further ones I requested are part of the 20 million post backlog. Thanks Royal Mail. Now I have next to no money to live on until god knows when, I can't pay my bills, I can't afford more food. Makes me so bloody angry

Thank the government! they are the ones that cause these strikes by not giving the pay rises people deserve

I'm sorry but they have a choice, and as far as I'm aware messing up a system that so many people rely on at a time like this to such huge scales when the government can't afford the raises because the country is on its knees makes them idiots.

why cant the gov afford it?? they have money to waste on other things but not on raising wages so people can afford to provide for their families

no they don't lol why do you think we're in a recession sarah? because there is no money. Where they are sending it all might not be right but hell we are committed to it all now and so here we go. Recession. Lovely. You don't see nurses going on strike like this for more money, or firemen or police, and god knows they really deserve a rise, but they know it won't get them anywhere.

lol well where have you been? as just the end of last year loads of firemen were standing striking, including the ones here! thats what i mean, if they were not spending it in the wrong places we would have money.

Anyhow just read that link someone posted on your status, sounds like its the finance side of things! they dont have the money?

Will the bank not allow you to go in and sort it out if you expalin to them about your post being stuck in the backlog? I take it all your post is there?

Personally i think its a bit greedy of the royal mail workers to be strking while we are in the holds of a recession. Hell thank their lucky stars they have a flammin job...suck it up and deal with it just now or leave. No-one forcing them to stay there.

I did, thats for new uni peoples, not those returning, my loan itself is approved to go through sarah with my signature, i'm missing a vital document to sign to get paid. It's there waiting for me.

And at the end of last year things were not quite as dire as they are now. Labour are reviewing ALL spending because there isn't enough to go around, its on the BBC news page.

Oh yeah tell me about it, End of last yr Craig empolyers had loadsss of work, enough for months ahead. Now they are having to work week from week. Craigs away to newcastle this week, god knows where he will be next week.

My dad is in board meetings every three months to see if they business he works for stays afloat... departments have been gonig from 25 people to 2 overnight...

happens every ten years or so, the economy does it because humans get greedy... my dad has seen many turns like this, though even he says, none have ever been this bad.

Gov have now announced that public services while protected will suffer cuts in cash.

I remember the last recession well. The interest rate went so high my mum and dad lost their house and my dads business went bankrupt.
