We have been at my mums all day today.
My younger sister started talking about a friend of her ex's sister.

She has found out she is pregnant.
Shes having an abortion.
She has had a scan, seen her baby but still wants to get rid of it.
Shes having to have sugery to have the baby removed.
It broke my heart.
I walked out the room and cried like a baby.

Why can people who can do that able to have kids, When I am struggling to even ovulate to even have a chance to get pregnant?!

Life. Is. A. Cow.

Life isn't fair hun, it's hard that she's essentially destroying what you long for.. but I'm starting to come around to the idea that no matter how angry and sickened I feel about things there could be a worse outcome. Like baby P, he suffered in a horrific way and if an abortion could have prevented that, I'd have turned the clocks back myself... I know that sounds harsh and as much as I think every child deserves life, I also think NO child deserve endless suffering. I think what I'm trying to say is, babies are aborted for different reasons, most which I don't agree with (except for reasons like rape or SEVERE disabilities.. I mean ones causing pain/suffering) and in my exhausted state of mind at the minute I'm rambling....
What I'm trying tosay is, try not to compare your life to others, I know it must hurt though

I know what your saying, It just felt like a knife in my heart.
She has what I want and to know that kinda hurt.
I totally get what you mean, Id rather her do this then resent the kid and put it through hell etc but still, what I wouldnt give to be in her shoes.

:-( things like this always have me in tears. Especially as I almost had an abortion once. But it still cuts me up to think about it.

I understand what your saying Amie. I am very pro life though. Dont want to start any debates though.

Just the thought of it makes me cry, and I can't imagine how it must make you feel Emma

I can empathise a bit, my friend fell pregnant whilst I was pregnant with Kirsty (she already has a child), she had slept with so many men that she had NO idea who was the father nor how far along she was. But she *could* have been anything up to 22 wks gone. All I know now is that she had to have surgery to abort the baby so she must have been past a certain amount of weeks.

It was awful to know that she so easily got what I had tried to get for so long. And altho I am against abortion except in extreme cases, I do agree with Amie, in hindsight it *may* have been the kindest thing.

*HUGS* hun, life really is unfair

Try not to be upset though as you really can't compare yourself to others, we are all different. I'm hugely pro choice and would like to believe these kinds of decisions are not made lightly and sometimes it's for the best. It's not always nice to get pregnant at the drop of a hat and it's not nice to be an unwanted child either.

Also, you can choose a surgical abortion after 7 weeks so doesn't always mean they were 'so' far on, you don't get any abortion until the heartbeat is seen which isn't until 6 weeks any way.

ETA: Also, you don't want to be in her shoes hun, you want to be pregnant in yours, and its not the same thing xxx
