How are you feeling now you have had a few days to digest the news you've got diabetes? How are your blood sugars?
I have been thinking of you hun.

You just have to think of the positive that will come of this... Once the medicine has got into your system your symptoms will subside and you will feel so much better. You will also loose some weight.
If you can control it with diet chances are you wont get insulin. The Dr's my mum goes to use it as a very last resort. But once she got in insulin she also lost so much weight, It just kind of melted off her
Im glad your getting used to taking your blood now.
Are your numbers slowly coming down?

I am sure in a few weeks things will settle down and it will feel more 'normal' xx

My aunt has diabetes too, nothing bad though, she just has to control it with her diet. It does throw you when you first find out you have to radically change your diet. There must be some things which are safe for you to eat, white meats/fish, veggies/salad are surely ok? It will all settle hon as you find out more...in the meantime sending lots of xxx

I hope you can get your sugars balanced out soon, it will take a wee while to get your head round things though
