I have been searching allllll day. And have found the 2 items of furniture I want for our living room, it'll use the last 200 of my maternity pay But Itll be worth it to have proper storage and our living room nice. These are the cheapest I can find them via 2 different suppliers, the smaller unit is about 20 cheaper than everywhere else and the bigger unit is about 30ish cheaper on that site as they have an extra 15% off today!

BUT are they the same colour do you think??

Corona Pine 2 Drawer 2 Door Sideboard from Furniture Today

Corona magazine rack lamp table storage solid wood NEW on eBay (end time 16-Jan-11 19:32:48 GMT)

The smaller unit will be used to store my work paperwork, magazines plus my lamp will sit on top. The bigger unit is mostly for Kirsty's toys & books plus the drawers would be for our junk to be concealed lol

Darn, I have just spotted a few slight differences between the 2 items, so I'm guessing they're not exactly from the same range despite them being called the same range name.... what do you think? Would they match ok? (sorry for asking, I'm not really a "furniture buyer" so I thought I'd get some input from you wonderful ladies)

Im not sure one looks like a more natural mexican pine and the other looks varnished it could just be the lighting though

I would say they are the same, its really hard to photograph furniture and have it look the same!

It seems like a really good price too!

I have searched our stuff and I can't find anything the same price Wish I could have helped.

Fiona, don't be scared if you order more than one item off some to one to ask if they will do a deal. I was shocked when we first started up how many people will ask for a deal!

ETA : The ebay one (magazine rack) has a different finish, its a distressed wax finish. Which means it will look rough... on purpose. It wont be a perfect finish. Where as the other one is a rustic wax finish, no mention of distressed finish.

Grrrr hubby doesn't like "change" he's not too keen on me buying furniture, w.tf?! I have not asked for a penny off him so dunno why he's being a stubborn git. I will get my way though If/when he agrees, I'll most likely get either just the bigger piece or both.

I was going to say that I think they are different colours, but as Vikki has said they are different finishes on the wood that might be why. Be sure to post pictures when the furniture arrives!

it's so expensive Lucy This is VERY cheap compared to the price of furniture. It's expensive to make your house purty!

nor do we. Kirsty's room has a wardrobe purley cos her cot/drawers/wardrobe was a set from Argos, it was really cheap but it has been a really sturdy fab set.
