you've probably seen on my FB i've been thnking about this alot.
today i went to the pharmacy for info and they couldn't tell me anything about it at all, ingredients etc, but he did give me the name of the two jabs they give (one without the mercury in and one with) but i'm not even sure if that is relavant this year because of the combine jab.
i then went into the doctors and spoke to the receptionists, and they offered me a leaflet only, and then told me that all the jabs are gone and they won't be getting any more in...
this strikes me as really weird?!! theres a 'huge' jump in the swine flu cases and they won't be getting more vaccinations in? surely that can't be right. they said all around here they're all gone.
so my decision is taken from me, i can't get the jab even if i wanted it! scary.
x

That does sound weird.

I know people have swine flu, but I do think the media just hype it up when there is nothing else to put in the news.

that is odd, i know in the news they were going to use last years leftovers, but that only protected against the swine flu, not the three different strains on the go this year. I really must phone the nurse to try and get something sorted. I'm seeing the midwife on Tues, i'll ask her what she thinks about it

You may have seen my status about Christian today? He has the flu (currently in bed) and he is ill. I have spoken today to Craig about getting it for him but i'm so torn. If this is what flu is doing to him god knows what swine flu would do. There is no shortage here, but i did speak to an nhs24 nurse who told me there is no epidemic in Scotland(swine flu). Yes 29 people have died but she said those people where already seriously seriously ill with other illnesses. I'm still torn but she made me feel slightly better. She did also say the media are panicing people, and they have had a lot of worried parents on the phone. She did also say seasonal flu is doing the rounds in a big way and this is what people have.

Thats the thing, 29 people have died, but like the nurse said they all had other things wrong with them. How many people this year will die because of the normal flu? but because they have AIDS, cancer, immune problems, had chemo ect...

Exactly Vikki. Hundreds and hundreds die every single year. 70 children died last year from flu, and the year before was a similar number etc etc.
