im gonna try making sweet potato fries for tea im just wondering how long to roast them for? or if i need to part boil before roasting?

I do sweet potato wedges, I just spray some 1cal oil on them, a bit of black pepper and roast for 15-20 mins at gas mark 6, I don't par boil them first

I tried to do them last night and they don't take long altho I had mine in for almost an hour. They didn't crisp much or brown though? Should they?

I just had veg oil in my baking tin, and turned them over half way through cooking?

I've never done sweet potatoes like that but they're soft aren't they, so if you par boiled em they'd probably go to mush.

was your Oven quite hot? Mine normally crisp at the edges and brown very slighty. Perhaps there was a wee bit too much oil on the tray?
