Been preparing for a job interview....

I had my interview this morning, and felt it had gone well, liked the head, deputy head and two governors I met, but didn't expect to get it just because of other rejections and reasons given.

The head called me back this afternoon, to say they were very impressed by my application and interview, but were worried about the time I've had out of teaching. She offered me a one-term contract (April to July) and will then review whether or not to offer me the permanent post once they've seen me in action, so to speak.

I'm so pleased that somebody is actually willing to give me a chance! No matter what it's a chance to get back in the classroom, get recent experience and a reference, and a term's solid pay.

So sorry I've been MIA but it looks like the preparation paid off!

Wow! That's great news. It turned out best all round- you got the job without the guilt of not telling them about your pregnancy with the possibility of bein made permanent! What a great December you are having :-)

lol Probably nothing...I'd like to say engagement but I know there is no money either for a ring or to get married so I seriously doubt it!
