...there was a teenage boy on one of the storylines and I recognised him but couldn't place where from.

Eventually I thought, I'm sure I've taught that boy! Sure enough when the credits rolled up it turned out to be a lad I taught for Y4 and Y5 who I was quite fond of. His mum was the drama teacher for our school club and he was a super talented actor. So pleased for him!

It was freaky, but SO COOL to see him successfully working towards his dream - not something you usually get to see for all the kids who wanted to be teachers, doctors, police officers, and onwards. Can't help but take it as a good omen for going back into teaching, either!

Thats wonderful for you as a teacher, like you said once most pupils leave school, i would imagine that would be the last the teacher see's of them. Its great that you can see that he is reaching his potential.

That's fab! One of Elijah's friends in her drama class has managed to get herself a part as an extra in the next series of Waterloo Road, it's moving to Glasgow soon.

Awww great I hope that turns out to be a big break for her!

When I was in high school there was a girl who wanted to act who got a stunt double part on the kids' show Gruey and not long after also did a kids' documentary show where she was the presenter. I have since seen her the odd time on TV, she was in a drama called The Hello Girls with Sharon from Eastenders, and played Bobbie in the kids' show Me Too. It's weird seeing them on TV when you've known them IRL. But fab for them!
