Sorry I have been mostly MIA this week ladies. It's been absolutely hectic trying to get on top of displays, class records, marking and planning all at once. Taking over a class at Easter is TOUGH. There is none of the "easing in" period you get when starting a school year with a class, because standardised tests are only a few weeks away and I don't have the luxury of giving the kids easy stuff to do while I get to know them and get my jobs done. I have worked from 8 til 6 most days and am still not there yet (but am getting there). Saturday has not been my own as there was an event on at school which took up 3 hours, then I had catch-up marking to do and reading groups to sort out. So I haven't had time to breathe, let alone come on here. And tomorrow I may not be around much as I need to spend some quality time with Daniel and HAVE A REST.

As I say, I am getting there, so I don't anticipate being this MIA the whole time I'm working there! Just while I settle in. I hope that is ok with you and that you don't want me to step down. I really, really don't wanna step down. But let me know your honest opinions as I also don't want to let you wonderful ladies down.

On a more positive note, though, I am LOVING teaching again, I LOVE my class, the school is WONDERFUL, the other staff couldn't be nicer or more supportive.

Sharron, there is absolutly no need for you to step down, and i would imagine the other ladies here agree with me too. You are going through changes in your life and need to take time to yourself to settle into your new routine too as well as the kids you are teaching. While you are off Daniel is your priority and you do need to rest so don't be apologising for not being around much, take as much time as you need, and i have to say again, do not step down. I will do my best to keep things going throughout the weeks so don't feel any pressure.
