What's your favourite Brit/Irish sitcom of all time and why?

Do you remember Nighty Night? I don't know if it counts as a sitcom, but I found it so sickly hilarious!

I tried to watch that a few times but could never get into it for some reason.
I think Royle Family tops everything else for me...but the first few series, before it went lame.

I never caught that one Jaidyn'sMum! It seemed to pass me right by which is odd as comedies are the only thing my DH and I can agree on!
I know it's American, but I'm into Big Bang Theory at the moment (perhaps because it's always on E4.) I missed it when it ran, so am gorging on these at the moment and really into it.
