Amelia is spending her first night in a big girl bed tonight My little baby has all grown up, where has the time gone. DH and my dad spent all day today Amelia proofing her room. She is such a mad child, they had to bolt her wardrobe to the wall, secure the window shut in a way she cannot open it, put a guard rail down the side of a toddler bed that is only a few inches off the floor but she will fall out without it, and they had to fit not one but two baby gates on her bedroom door, one over the other because she can climb over one. Then they had to extend the baby gates at the top and bottom of the stairs because she is climbing over them. My boys i thought at the time were crazy but they were nothing compared to Amelia, you seriously need about six pairs of eyes to watch her, whe has absolutly no fear whatsoever. Wish me luck, ill update and let ye know tomorrow how we got on with her.

Awww I remember that with Daniel. It's amazing how quick they grow up Molly. I hope she's enjoying her new bed and all is going well!

She is sleeping away in her big bed. I have a camera monitor in her room, because i literally have to with her. She potters around her room till about 10.30 every night. You can see her stripping (she know she can get us up to her if she does that), then you see her doing hand stands on her bed, we have had to take everything out of the room that could be used to climb up on because she has used it, she is emptying her wardrobe and her drawers on nearly a nightly basis. But then come around 10.30 you can see her getting tired because she will hang around the bed more, and when she is ready she will climb into bed cover herself with the duvet and go off to sleep. She is sleeping now till about 8.30 in the morning but that only because she is up late every night. On a whole i think its a success because she is sleeping in the new bed, we just need to get her into the routine of knowing that 7.30 is sleep time not 10.30 but that will come once the novelty of her freedom in her room wears off.
